1970
• Water system installed by developer – Puget Sound Exchange Corp.
1982
• Installed 4 hydrants on North beach Drive
1985
• 8” main installed on Thorndyke between Eagle View & Seattle Drive.
• Installed 2nd pressure station and 8” main from Admirals Row thru CPP
1989
• Acquired 240 x 100 feet of property for sanitary zone behind Well tank.
1990
• Installed well #2 (standby well), pumps and motors on Robin Lane.
1991
• Installed 8” main from Blue Jay to Marina.
• Installed aerator system in water tanks and 4’ feeder line to pumphouse.
1992
• Installed 8 “main from Seattle Street to 90 degree turn on Thorndyke.
1995
• Installed 8” main and hydrants on Dickey, Blue Jay, So. Beach & No. Beach.
1997
• Upgraded Eagle View main from 2” to 6”.
1998
• Superior court ruled in our favor of ownership of tank property on Robin Lane.
1999
• New 400 amp service, 40hp pump & controller, phase convertor, & transformer.
• Installed new diesel generator and transfer switch or backup power.
2000
• Upgraded the level floats in the water tanks
2001
• Installed fire hydrant, relocated air valve, ran 10 service lines to new Thorndyke main.
2002
• Upgraded all pumphouse plumbing & installed a master flow meter.
2004
• Installed second water tank on Robin Lane, 156,00 gallons, 20’ x 40’.
• Installed soft start program on 40hp well pump motor.
2006
• Extended the South Beach 4” main 300’.
2008
• Installed 950’ of 8” PVC main with a 4” PRV between Thorndyke and Dickey/Peabody. (PRV is a Pressure Reducing Valve Station).
• Installed 1200’ of 6” PVC main between Olympia St. & Seattle Dr on Thorndyke Rd.
2009
• Replaced 2400’ of 4” main with 8” PVC on North Beach Drive.
2010
• Replaced 1300’of 4” main with PVC from Eagles View to Admirals Row on Thorndyke Rd.
2011
• Replaced 2400’ of 4” main with 8” PVC on Robbins Lane.
• Replaced 450’ of 2” main with 6” PVC on Sparrow Lane.
• Replaced 600’ of 2” main with 6” PVC on Finch Road.
2012
• Replaced 600’ of 2” main with 6” PVC on Finch Lane with 750’ of 6” intertie of 6” PVC water main running from Robin Lane to Thorndyke Road
2023
• Upgraded all meters to electronic meters. See more under Water News on Home Page.
2024
• Installed computer and software systems to manage the electronic meter program.
• Contractor cleaned and inspected both water tanks.
• 24kw generator, auto transfer switch, and a 500-gallon propane tank installed at pumphouse.
• PFA (forever chemicals) analysis completed at source, results were non-detect.
• Lead line survey completed, no lead piping was found
• Seattle main loop project completed.
2025
• Replaced outdated 3 phase convertor for the 40 HP #1 well pump.
• Marina and source meter upgraded.
• Solar Powered and remote pressure monitoring added to the PRV stations.
